Two more people are now in custody in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

These detentions follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was one of the injured in the event. Five people went to hospital for treatment and have since been released.

Officers arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault near the scene. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Police were called at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.

The attack - an event that authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
